Do you know how to make yourself feel great anytime? Wouldn’t it be awesome to have a trick to feel great about yourself anytime you needed it?
Here’s the solution! I learned this from a mentor of mine a few years ago–before I became a college speaker. It’s super simple. Here’s what you do:
Get a 3×5 inch note card and write down on it the three proudest accomplishments or moments in your life. As you write them down, really relive the experience–feel what it felt like.
Then fold up the note card and put it in your purse or wallet. Next time you need a pick-me-up, just open up the note card and relive each of the three experiences you wrote down.
What I noticed when doing this myself was that after about 3 weeks, I no longer needed the note card and could just bring myself to that positive place easily.
I know it sounds weird, but I promise that it can have incredible results. Sometimes the simplest solutions work best!
