Inspired by the insane blizzard going on outside my window, today’s tip is about getting outside and playing.
The average child only plays outside for an average of 4-7 minutes per day. Adults are even worse! Our entire lives have moved indoors and it’s literally shortening our lives by making us less active and taking shallower breaths.(1)
It’s just so tempting to spend time behind our computers or inside watching TV, but all of the good stuff–the fun, excitement, and energy–is out there just waiting for us.
So what are you waiting for? Get out there. Disconnect from the inter-web (as an older guy I know calls it) and go play like we used to. I’ll be out there in about an hour, ready to hit you with a snowball.
